Photo day!

Well, as some of you can imagine getting 5 little girls dressed and ready for pictures is less than appealing to me! In fact...I loathe portrates because of it!

BUT!!!!!

We went today and had the best photo shoot so far.

We went to JCPenney and the girl who took the photos was great with my girls, and knew where to position us! FINALLY!!!!! Someone with half a brain taking photos!

I can't wait to share them with you. They are really good! AND...so affordable! We ended up getting in at just the right time where there was a 50% off coupon for your entire order.

So I got

-1 10 x 13 for us
-1 8 x 10 for my parents
-1 8 x 10 for Sean's parents
-1 5 x 7 for my grandma(nanna)
-1 5 x 7 for my maternal grandparents

-60 Photo Christmas Cards w/envelopes

-4 5 x 7's of just Kyla(it's her birthday month)
-4 5 x 7's of just Gracie(again, her birthday month)

Grand total?????? $75 and change!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! That was almost $1 per photo!

So, needless to say...I know where we are going in January when the twins turn 8!

Pictures from our weekend away!

Photo of our view off the balcony.

Sean and I went to Galena this weekend. It was great! The best part about it was that it was paid for prior to our departure, making the stress of spending money less difficult.

We stayed at Eagle Ridge Resort in the villas. Our was cottage-y. We also had dinner at the resort one night and room service breakfast one morning(all included in our package).

The smartest and best thing we did was book our stay through a travel agent(my friend, Lisa). The reason that this became so important was b/c our origional room that we were booked for apparently had a problem with the heat. We were informed upon arrival that we could get an upgrade and we did take the upgrade b/c quite frankly...it was cold and I would like heat!

So we went on our merry way with our upgrade and when we got home I told Lisa what had happend. She quickly gathered the facts and called Eagle Ridge because she felt that we should have gotten more than an upgrade.(I have had experience with this type of thing before...and hotels aren't great about doing anything for the individual person...me)

So, after about 2 hours Lisa called me and told me that they would be refunding 20% of our package price back onto my debit card!!!!! I don't know exactly what she said but I do know a few great things about using a travel agent.

1. She had availability for checking into dates/packages that we couldn't see online.

2. Her rates were better.

3. She has more "pull" if there was a problem.

I know Lisa, she is great at customer service and I am so glad that she went to bat for us!

Well this is encouraging!

This is how far I am to acheiving my goal of earning my free cruise from Uppercase Living. You need 40000 points and there are different ways to earn them.

Considering I have until the end of June to get the rest of my points!!!! I am SO encouraged by this number, and I am not even done putting through my november sales!!!

thought this was interesting.

I stole this from someone.

Question 1:

If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and she had Syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion?

Read the next question before looking at the response for this one

Question 2:

It is time to elect a new world leader, and only your vote counts.

Here are the facts about the three candidates. Who would you vote for?

Candidate A.

Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with an astrologer.

He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day

Candidate B.

He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in

College and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Candidate C

He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an

Occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.

Which of these candidates would be our choice?

Decide first... No peeking, then scroll down for the response.

Candidate A is Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Candidate B is Winston Churchill.

Candidate C is Adolph Hitler.

And, by the way, on your answer to the abortion question:

If you said YES, you just killed Beethoven.

Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone.

I should be...

Sorting this growing pile of laundry. But alas...I am too swept up in the election and my G1 or K4 if you will!

p.s.-still vote for mccain

Once every four years...

This is the only day that I regret not becomming an American citizen. You have no idea just how lucky you are to give your voice a vote today. Don't take this for granted.

So, I want to know...What are you telling your kids about the election today? Are you telling them who you are voting for and why you choose that candidate? Are you involving them in learning about the electoral process?

p.s.-vote for mccain
