Fridays are Fustrating!
I have to admit I am so exhausted by Friday that it has become my most dreaded day. It takes everything I have and some of God's "magic peace" to keep me from yelling all afternoon.
It just doesn't seem to work out for me on Fridays. The kids are ridiculously crazy, the house just doesn't get the attention that I want it to, and my routine just seems *yawn*...boring!
Where does this attitude get me??? NO WHERE!!!!!
I admit that I need help(the first step is admitting it right?). I admit that having 5 children under 6 1/2 ISN'T EASY!!! In fact, the things that I "need" to get done during the day are actually so stressful that sometimes I prioritize things in order of "what really needs to get done"
So...the cat is out of the bag! I am not good at this. I am frustrated. I need a vacation. I need my husband to be home at 6pm on the dot(the time he comes home regularly)on Fridays!
Grrrr.....thanks for reading my vent!
Now off to stop the two year old from crying because K1 closed the fridge without getting her something!!!! AAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

I hear you! It's been a long week of Dan working 10 hour days and I thought I was going to lose my mind today. You aren't alone! Just over the course of today, Landon chewed almost a whole pack of gum, smeared Kaitlyn's cream for her eczema all over his whole body, climed up on the counter countless times, colored on my counter, and put a bowl with pumpkin bread batter over his head. Amazingly enough, he is still living! :-)
hee hee Yeah, I'd say the first step is admitting it. The second one giving ourselves *grace* for needing it. :)
But at least YOUR only needing it on Fridays. I resort to relying on God's "magic peace" the other 6 days of the week as well. hee hee
Christin beat me to my punch line: You mean it takes you until Friday to feel that way??? I know it may not help a lot, but sometimes just knowing that we all feel that way from time to time might be comforting. On a practical note, what is the rest of your weekly schedule like? Maybe you are committed to too many different family activities? Maybe you could try and complete the "needs to get done list" by Thursday so that Fridays can be more relaxing? Is there something fun that you could designate Fridays for to make the day go faster or make you look forward to it? Like take-out night or homemade pizza night or family bike ride night or something like that?
And keep in mind what you said: Having 5 children under 6 1/2 isn't easy!! Don't beat yourself up about getting stressed out or yelling. Keep asking for that "magic peace" ;>)
{{hugs}} ~ well, just a small one
know how you feel!!! but on more days than just Fridays.
: )
praying for you and knowing from experience how hard it is... and even though I do not know you, i bet you are a great mother!
these years are so very hard and so very precious...
your work is worth more than gold!
Hello,
I stumbled across your blog and just want to tell you your girls are beautiful. You definately have a handful. I admire you for your undertaking and I think you are being too hard on yourself. You are doing a great job as a mother, and I rejoice with you about your daughter accepting the Lord. That is just wonderful!
Life is hard, and frustrating sometimes, but with God, He will help us through, and comfort us when we need it.
I enjoyed reading your blogs, and just wanted to say hello. I live in Iowa, very near the Illinois border.
Michelle
