Watch out Woodstock...Here come the Carey's!!!
This morning I signed the girls up for soccer. When I was growing up soccer was a word thrown around as a joke. My brothers played three sports. Football, Basketball, and Baseball and they labelled soccer players as "un-worthy of being football players". I know it isn't nice but it was reality and now my girls are going to play soccer for the first time in the fall.
I am quite excited for this adventure to begin and quite excited that I know NOTHING about soccer. I think that will be good for them so that my over acheiving side will be left in the dark and my encouragement side will shine through!
So...do your kids play sports? If so...which ones? I would love to hear your perspective on soccer!!!! Or any sport really!

AYSO is really big in our hometown. My 2 older girls both played. I think soccer is a great sport for especially the younger ones.
For us, soccer is not so readily available. Well not much of anything is out here! Have fun!
Jaedon played soccer this spring. He actually has his last game next Saturday. I never played soccer (nor did any of my family b/c it wasn't available where we grew up), so I didn't have a clue about anything going on when he first started....actually I still don't know too much...but Jaedon has really loved it!!
Have fun girls!!
Um, kinda biased on this one because DH is from a soccer lovin' family. It was and still is THE sport, well, I guess unless you count cycling these days. I always enjoyed watching hubster play & know a bit about the game. The nice thing is that there isn't a lot of expensive equipment to purchase. All ya really need is a good pair of shoes. Also, if they really love it, they can play year round on an indoor team, instead of just one season.
My kids don't play sports because DD #1 is not really into sports {more of a theatrical girl} and DD #2 hasn't been old enough yet, but will be joining some sort of activity in the fall.
