Because of days like this....
I woke up this morning at 12:30am, 3:25am and again at 6am because my poor Kendell has a cold and a temperature. I am sad for her. I am sad that she is hurting and pretty much inconsolable and just looks like she feels really crappy.
She has the whole drippy nose, sneezy, warm body cold.
But underneath all this coughing I am sitting her SO THANKFUL that this is the first time Kendell has been sick. We are so blessed.
I don't know exactly why we are so rarely sick although I do know that "God only gives us what we can handle" and maybe...he doesn't think I can handle sick kids??? Hmmm...my God is a funny God!
Our doctor has never even seen our third daughter. In fact...I don't know if he even knows of her. She has never been sick enough to need a doctor and hasn't had a physical yet(she had all her baby checkups with our former doctor who retired just about when she was turning two). She will be getting a physical this year prior to kindergarten so he will be meeting my girl but I just find it so strange.
I am certainly not bragging. We have our fair share of bumps and bruises, slappy girl fights and name calling so we are in no ways "above physical pain" but I truly sat back and thanked God this morning because days like this remind me of our blessings!

We are not the type to run to the doc for every little thing (and have chosen not to immunize) so my kids were a little skittish when we quit homeschooling and they both needed to go have physicals before entering school (at Kindergarten & 3rd grade). What a blessing to have healthy children!
You boast away, girl! Because you are sooo boasting in Jesus's gift to your household! awesome!
I'm curious...do you guys go to a chiropractor? I hear those adjustments keep illnesses away.
